NORM/TENORM Surveyor

This course is an 8 hour N.O.R.M./T.E.N.O.R.M. training that covers the the physics and behavior of radioactive isotopes, its behavior, and how to protect yourself from the hazards posed by radiation. Additionally, employees are taught how to properly survey a multitude of items with different sizes and shapes. If possible, we encourage every student to bring their own survey meter to the class to ensure that the training covers how to use their specific meter. (if students do not have their own, a training survey meter will be loaned out during the class to complete the hands-on portion of the skills assessment). Students who successfully complete this class will have the knowledge skills and abilities to properly survey a variety of materials to determine if harmful levels of radiation are present.
